canada day!

survived the presentation. much needed food and drinks at the courtyard of the coolest bar ever in the world - http://www.theargyle.biz/courtyard.php

accosted people for 2 hours giving them cloth Canada Bags and giving out free pancakes. now have to tidy up for a hoity toity lunch. then back to hotel to change to go to a pub in North sydney which is owned by a canadian and throws a huge July 1 bash every year. then home to pack for Brisbane.

work day 2

last night (mondAY) - drinks on the harbour at this outdoor bar across from the opera house sitting on couches watching the ferries and tour boats come and go.

today (tuesday) practice my presentation. group Rehearsal at 1 pm. presntations at 2:30 PM. early dinner with the travel agents. at my booth at 5:30 - 8:30 pm.

t0morrow (wed) - serving pancakes to commuters in a park out side the main subway station at 6:30 am as part of a Canada Day event organized by the Canadian tourism Commission. then fancy lunch at a fancy place for something fancy having to do with Canada Day. then free. business concluded.

work day 1 part 2

half way through. today is meetings with Tour operators. tomorrow is a 'flog the brochure' day with travel agents followed by evening presenation and networking event. not looking forward to my presentation - just didnt come together and it sucks. not looking forward to it. have to spend tonight rehersing.

our venue is the museum of contemporary art - we look directy across teh harbour at the Opera house. everyone keeps getting distracted by the views.

work day 1

ok - almost slept in and missed day one. not a good start. 20 min until start. its 8:50 here monday morning. sunny here and awesome. they still think its cold.

arrival - finally

15. 5 hours is a loooooong time. and of couse we were late departing 1 hour so left at 1 am. got about 4-5 hour sleep.

hotel is ok - nothing like the other sheraton i was in last time. but they gave me a harbour view room. http://www.darlingharbour.com/

weather is overcast but aroun 17C. they think its cold.

dinner with the group tonight at someplace called the Belgium Brewhouse. Sorry suzanne im sure it wont be good at all!
