Sunshine Coast - last stop The Glass House Mountains

for our last stop, our guide took us to a look out to view the Glass House Mountains. a set of 15 dormant volcanoes. Unbeliveable views of this valley and these moutains.

should have spent my entire time here. Same quality of beach as the gold coast, but much less touristy. And there's a National park thats a quick walk from town, that has several trails inside. Only had time to do the shortest one unfortunatly.

Sunshine Coast daytrip first stop Eumundi Markets

i really really liked the Sunshine Coast. much lest touristy than the gold coast. Started the day driving 1.5 hours north to the village of Eumundi to go to the famous Eumondi Markets. Mom - think the ontario one but much much larger. Largest market in Australia. http://www.eumundimarkets.com.au/

Broncos 28 - Warriors 16. had good seats - a few rows up from the field around the 40 yard line. broncos in yellow tonight. 

Gold Coast vs. Sunshine coast

gold coast is definitly set up for backpackers. as is Brisbane. the Sunshine Coast however is for the rest of us. Great day trip today

the gold coast - surfer's paradise

took the 1 hour train south to the Gold Coast early this a.m. then a 30 min trip by bus to get to the heart of the GC - Surfer's Paradise. ive never felt sand this soft before. the water was 20C. took my shoes off and wandered down the beach for about 1 hour. then came back up the boulevard which is all beach-style shops and restaurants.

the rest of the city has these waterways running through it so you get these huge homes with private docks with expensive boats
